Bagels- Three Ways

Ignoring the slightly innuendo led title, here are my top three favourite ways of filling a bagel! These all serve one person.

New Yorker Style Bagel

New Yorker Bagel
1 Sesame Bagel
2 Slices of Swiss Cheese
1 Slice Pastrami
1 Slice Corn Beef
1 Gherkin
1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard + 1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise
Pop your halved bagels in the toaster.
Meanwhile, make the sauce, simply pop the mustard & mayonnaise in a small bowl and stir. Add to one side of each the toasted bagel side , and start to layer the sandwich fillings.
I always go for Swiss cheese first, then the Pastrami, Corn Beef then sliced Gherkins last, then top with the top of the bagel.

Cream Cheese & Smoked Salmon Bagel

Cream Cheese & Salmon Bagel

1 Sesame Bagel , halved
10g Cream Cheese
30g Smoked Salmon
Squeeze of Lemon Juice
Salt and Pepper to taste
Cut your bagel horizontally down the middle, and pop in the toaster. When golden and toasted, simply spread the cream cheese on both sides,add the smoked salmon, salt, pepper and finish with a squeeze of lemon. Easy Peasy.

Bacon, Brie & Redcurrant Bagel

Bacon, Brie & Redcurrant Bagel
1 Sesame Bagel
2 Slices of Smoked Bacon
15g Sliced Brie
1 heaped tablespoon Redcurrant Jelly
Pop your halved bagel in the toaster. When they have come out of the toaster, add your Redcurrant Jelly, then Brie.
Fry the bacon for around 2 minutes aside, and instantly pop into the bagel slices. Top with the top of the bagel.
